A Dialogue with Partners on Global Open Food and Agriculture University of the CGIAR, Washington, D.C., August 26, 2004

This "Partnership Dialogue on the Global Open Food and Agriculture University of the CGIAR" will bring together the key national and regional partners, donors, and CGIAR Centers. The key objectives of the workshop are to:

• Share information on the need and potentials of distance learning in agriculture and the capacity gaps in post-graduate agriculture and natural resources education;
• Identify ways for developing and developed country actors to collaborate through the Global Open University at the global level; and
• Discuss approaches and institutional arrangements for the sustainable implementation of Global Open University.
